  • Over the course of two, 2-hour meetings, this intensive private course covers the progression of birth, how to prepare for labour, writing a birth plan, discerning when to go into hospital/call your midwife, practical coping techniques for labour including massage, accupressure and breathwork, and newborn care. This course is specifically geared at enabling the non-birthing parent to be the best support person they possibly can be. Each course is tailored to the particular needs of your personal situation.

  • Including two childbirth preparation meetings, I’m on call from weeks 37-42 of your pregnancy, available for phone support as your body prepares for birth. When you go into labour, I help you labour safely at home until you’re ready to go into hosptial or bring in homebirth midwives. I remain with you supporting both you and your partner through the duration of labour providing continuity of care, photograph the birth if desired, and take notes the entire time. I support mother/baby during their golden hour, helping facilitate the first feed. The postpartum meeting includes retelling the birth story and checking on mother and baby health including sleep and nutrition, and newborn care confidence.

  • Minimum of six hours or two days a week, bookable on a weekly basis, geared towards the first months postnatal. Includes assistance with newborn care, confidence building for parents, breastfeeding help, light cooking and cleaning. Nighttime doula support allows the mother to sleep without worry.

  • Parents are welcome to come along the first Wednesday of every month to the The Rose Centre 17 Barnes High Street SW13 9LD 6:45-8pm. Hot drinks and cake, building community with other pregnant expectant families, and a welcoming space to glean birthing tools from local birth workers.

  • I meet you and your child before the birth to chat, and we have one or two babysitting sessions so that they are comfortable with me and I can get to know their routine. Then I’m on call during your birth month, and come and stay in your home with your child for the duration of your labour and until a parent can be at home with them again.
