Births happen thousands of times every day all around the world.

Yet each one is different, miraculous, and a rare, brief day in your lifetime.

My goal is to help parents fully experience the birth of their child as the truly magical, unique and life changing moment that it really is – to embrace childbirth with joy.

For some people, gaining knowledge about the birth processes help them feel empowered to understand what is happening, to relax and allow their body to birth.

For other people it’s the presence of a reassuring person who understands birth, who is watching, keeping an eye on them and not rushing away to care for multiple births at a time, who knows techniques and can suggest different kinds of comfort measures appropriate for different stages of birth - who makes the mother feel safe and comforted enough to soften and allow her body to flow.

And when rare emergencies do happen, and the team of doctors and midwives are doing their job, it’s the doula who can focus all her attention on explaining the processes to the parents, what their options are in the moment, and how to walk through unexpected events. Reminding them what questions they’d want to ask, reassuring them when the team is too busy to do so, making sure the parents are able to still capture the moments of joy in the birth of their child, facilitating skin on skin, bonding and breastfeeding as soon as it is possible.

As your doula, I maintain support throughout the lead up to and during your birth and postpartum period, maintaining that continuity of care and being that familiar face who knows you and supports only you.

I am an international doula, with experience in America, Israel and the UK, and can help families who are navigating cross cultural experiences.
